On my lunchtime walk, I found a Pale-headed Rosella, and two Tawny Frogmouths (one seems to be nesting).

A parrot with pale yellow head, richer yellow neck and back (with black spots), pale blue chest and belly and rich blue wings and tail and (just visible) a red rump. It is perched on a branch, facing right.

A grey mottled bird, owl like but not an owl, perched in a casuarina tree. It is staring directly at the camera. It has a wide beak, and large yellow eyes.

Another Tawny Frogmouth, this time perched on a fairly small nest of twigs in a dead tree. The bird appears to be asleep, which would be normal as they are nocturnal.

@david@photog.social tawny nesting season should be starting soon so hopefully you’ll have some little floofs to watch. Trying to find where my local ones are nesting this year
