A sunny afternoon scene shot low to the ground in the rural Idaho countryside. In the foreground is a golden-brown field of overgrown wild grasses and thistles, some poking up very close to the camera. Through the thistles we see a solitary person in dark clothes standing in the middle distance, facing away from us and looking over a low metal fence. The person is flanked, and dwarfed, by two towering pine trees, the right one taller than the left. Beyond the fence is a glimpse of a road and a river, on the far side of which stands a solid green wall of tightly packed conifers — the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest — under a cloudless blue sky.
