A few years back, while sorting through old Lightroom files, I realized we still had unpublished photos from our 2023 trip to the Bavarian Forest. It was our first time there—a place we’d heard was beautiful but hadn’t gotten around to visiting yet. Two weeks in a holiday apartment, daily hikes, and a landscape that turned out to be nothing like the Alps. No steep climbs, no crowded trails, just long, winding paths through forests that somehow felt greener, mossier, and quieter.
