Edmunds Marsh, Washington State, is a 22.5-acre (9-hectare) urban wetland. While I was there taking pictures, I ran into a reclamation crew removing invasive Wizards Nightshade (Circaea lutetiana). We had a long talk about the stream ecosystem there. Apparently, if it isn't cleared out, the area turns into a bog. He pointed to huge hedges of the plant smothering other plants further in, but in an area where he wasn't allowed to go.

In einem Teich in einem Moor spiegeln sich die Bäume, die am Ufer stehen, vor allem Birken. Links im Wasser befindet sich eine kleine Insel mit nur wenigen Bäumen darauf. Die Spiegelung der hellen Baumstämme und grünen Baumkronen lässt eine malerische und verträumte Atmosphäre entstehen.
