Another zine I cranked out this week, awaiting print. I'll link it soon for where you can find it.

Again, short form. Working on figuring out how much text I can fit in zines without it being too small.

Page 1: A silhouetted figure of a creature with horns, reptilian eyes, and tattered ears peers over their shoulder. The title: Creature! A zine on being althuman. Page 2: Sometimes I feel like a creature. // A beast parading around in human skin. Between the two lines of text is an empty human shaped figure peering into a bathroom mirror. The creature silhouette stares back at them curiously. Page 3: I could pathologize it. // Maybe it's the trauma of growing up neurodivergent. The human figure is partially shadowed with one creature eye, a partial creature themself. They sit in a psychiatrists office with closed off posture as a human figure points to a clip board and talks to them. Page 4: But it feels deeper than that. Like intrinsic estrangement. // An impossible divide between myself and what it's like to be human. The figure is now surrounded by other empty human figures, chatting. Even in a crowd the creature seems alone. Page 5: A secret not meant for me everyone's privy to, that I'm left piecing together alone. Now the partial creature figure peers down at their hands sadly with other humans behind them. Their hands are now clawed and are taking on the same shadowy features of the creature. Page 6: Despite it all, however, being a creature isn't so bad. // Because while there are millions of humans... Now the figure has turned nearly all creature and skitters away from the crowd of humans. Page 7: There's other creatures out there, too. The creature's hand reaches out only to be met by another clawed hand with paw pads. Page 8: The creature figure lies in the lap of another creature type figure. They look at one another.
