A wide black and white photograph captured from the corner angle inside the covered stone cloister of an ancient abbey. An unbroken sequence of pointed medieval stone arches supported by short paired columns runs along two perpendicular sides of a gravel walkway. Afternoon calm on the terrace at Heywood Gardens in County Laois. The canopy of trained lime trees frames the hillside views nicely - apparently you can see 7 counties on a clear day!
