Adenot and NASA astronaut and Expedition 75 flight engineer Anil Menon (out of frame) spent six hours and 30 minutes replacing a failed antenna with a spare and making the precise connections needed to activate it for high-speed transmissions with mission control. : Seen from the International Space Station, Japan’s Mount Fuji rises dramatically from the surrounding landscape. Low-angle sunlight emphasizes the volcano’s remarkably symmetrical cone, carving shadows into gullies along its flanks and into the summit crater and nearby Hoei crater. At 3,776 meters (12,389 feet), Mount Fuji is Japan’s highest peak and one of the planet’s most recognizable volcanoes. Credit: NASA

Snow-covered volcanic peak seen from above, its central crater and white radial gullies fanning into dark, forested slopes and patchwork fields, showing snow runoff patterns and contrast between icy summit and surrounding terrain.
