Altro...Something a little different: I got a new-old-stock Ultratec Miniprint 525 text telephone (TTY). It's a telecommunications device designed for deaf people that transmits in Baudot code over a phone line.
While waiting for data, it cutely chirps expectantly. Keypresses make the modem sounds you'd be familiar with if you're older than me.
I don't have a phone setup, but at least its thermal paper will be easier to acquire than the larger paper for my teleprinters. Strangely, it works with batteries, but not its provided power supply.
