Someone fishing on the White River in the morning, a few days before the flooding started (Muncie, Indiana).

A river with grassy banks on both sides. Foreground is a mowed grassy area. There is a tree with green leaves on the right of the frame. There are some rocks along the banks of the river. In the middle of the frame, on the near bank, is a fisherman with blue shorts, a red shirt, a white hat, and a dark backpack. The fisherman is relatively small in the frame. On the far bank are a number of trees with green leaves. The water is still, and trees can be seen reflected on the surface of the water.

Two great blue herons in the White River, which is still very high after the recent rains and flooding (Muncie, Indiana).

In the foreground, a grassy area covered with water, blades of grass sticking above the water. A tall bird with long legs, a gray body, a long neck, and a long beak. Some white feathers on the front of the neck and chest, and the lower part of the head. Top of the head is dark gray. Directly behind the bird is a tree trunk lying on its side, and there is a car tire sitting on top of the tree trunk to the right. There is another similar bird somewhat further away, standing in deeper water. To the left of that bird are some tree branches in the water, and a partial view of a tree trunk still standing at the edge of the frame. In the background is a large expanse of water, with some fog above the water. In the distance, near the top of the frame are many green trees on the bank of the river.
