Do #macro converters reduce quality a lot?

Vignetting, blurring, chromatic aberration? I'm kinda weak on #optics this advanced.

I wonder if I should buy one. I already have an extension ring but attaching it is a bother.

Are converters sensitive to optics quality? Used cheapo or 3 times the price for the original #Olympus MCON-P01?

Shame that there's no superzoom lens with macro in #MFT :P
