We've been working diligently to get #FDroid Client ready for release.
If naming our releases 'alpha' or 'rc' impeded you to update, now you are free to install.
As usual we are exercising this as a stage roll-out, so you can now expand Versions and install 2.0.
If it's the first time, or even the n-th time, you've heard about our new client work, you can read all the gritty details in the 15 mins post: https://f-droid.org/2026/09/24/f-droid-2.0-a-new-chapter-for-android-freedom.html
To everyone involved in delivering 2.0, a sincere "Thank You!"
@fdroidorg@floss.social I've been using this new update for a while now and everything is great. The only thing missing, at least for me, is the option to click on a category and see all the apps from that category, without having to choose one subcategory each time.
But that's a personal thing, I can always navigate each subcategory separately.
Anyway, great update, everything looks and works better.
Great work.
