To The Stars...

August 28, 2026 - Lake Stanley Draper, Oklahoma

Taken after the lunar eclipse had passed its peak. This image was made using the Live Composite feature of the OM-5 Mark II. The camera captured data at the rate of one exposure every 30 seconds over 35 minutes. The final image is a composite of those 70 exposures. The foreground and the lake are illuminated by the moon.

Tripod with the OM-5 Mark II and the M.Zuiko Digital 8-25mm F4.0 PRO at: 30 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400, 18mm.

This is a time lapse image illuminated primarily by the light of the moon and stars. The scene is a local lake. In the foreground a barrier cable lit my moonlight stretches from a post on the left to across the right edge of the frame. Behind that, bushes mark the shore of the lake. The lake extends to the far shore and a horizon that bisects the image just below frame center. The night sky fills the rest of the frame.

Numerous stair trails lead up into the sky like an convoy of rocket ships leaving the planet.
