Level 1 Hexastix made from old pencils and rubber bands (more a packing than a tiling)

However, I'm sticking with Level 1 for now 😅

Congratulations - that's nice. Very satisfying. If you get the tension right you don't need the elastic bands for some / most versions
You can make very intricate-looking and not that much more difficult versions with cocktail sticks (lots). Or chopsticks (a few more) - I will see if I can dig out a photo.
