Level 1 Hexastix made from old pencils and rubber bands (more a packing than a tiling)

However, I'm sticking with Level 1 for now 😅

A structure made of pencils arranged in four sets of seven pencils that are held together with rubber bands. Each set of pencils points in a different direction and are mostly similar, e.g. rubber-tipped yellow pencils and colour pencils of different kinds.

I couldn’t find much information about this, perhaps it’s benjarong, or related?

A blue and white dish photograph from above. It is a roundish octagon with scalloped edges. The patter has a central blue disc surrounded petals reminiscent of a sunflower or pineapple. The 12-pointed rosettes of different sizes appear to overlap.
