"Ethereal Pines" for

Torrey Pine trees (Pinus torreyana) and coastal sage scrub in dense morning fog at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve in San Diego, California.

I have photographed these trees many many times already but they remain an irresistible subject, especially with fog!

Color photo of a group of pine trees in dense morning fog. The trees are growing on a gentle slope and the ground is covered with low-growing shrubs.

"Summerstill" for a

From a quiet August morning many years ago, when I went for an early walk with the dog at Wöhrsee, the city lake of Burghausen in Bavaria, Germany...

A square format color photo showing an intimate scene of a small lake in dense fog. Reeds grow into the lake from the left, in a wedge-like shape reflected in the calm water. Where the reeds end, a small tree grows. The fog is cool and blue in the early morning.
