The image is a black and white photograph depicting the historical waterfront of Bari, specifically highlighting Muraglia, which translates to 'the ramparts'. This scene shows a serene seascape with calm waters reflecting the cloudy sky above. In the foreground, there's a jetty made from large stone blocks extending into the sea. Several boats are seen floating near this jetty and along the shoreline. The middle ground is dominated by classical European architecture, featuring multi-story buildings typical of Mediterranean coastal towns. These structures have flat roofs and shuttered windows, indicating historical significance possibly dating back to several centuries ago. Among these edifices stands a prominent building with arched openings that could be an entrance or part of the fortifications. A bridge is visible in the center-right portion of the photograph over what appears to be another body of water connecting different parts of Bari's peninsula, suggesting this jetty lea

The image depicts a historical black-and-white photograph of the waterfront promenade in Bari, Italy. The scene features an iron railing along the edge of what appears to be a boardwalk or pier extending into calm waters with several boats and ships anchored at various distances from shore. In the foreground stands a prominent street lamp post with three spherical lamps on top, casting long shadows onto the pavement, indicating bright sunlight overhead. Behind it are classical European-style buildings that line up along the promenade, displaying architectural elements such as ornate window frames and façades typical of late 19th or early 20th-century structures. The overcast sky suggests a cloudy day with muted lighting conditions contributing to the sepia-toned appearance of this historical snapshot. The watermark "BARI - La Muraglia" is visible at the bottom, likely denoting both the location and possibly an identification number for cataloging purposes or as part of a collecti

The image depicts a vintage black and white photograph showing an urban waterfront scene. The setting appears to be Bari, as indicated by the text "Bari - La Muraglia" at the bottom of the photo. A prominent feature is a street lamp with multiple globes on top, standing next to what seems like a metal railing that runs alongside a walkway or promenade. In the background, several buildings can be seen along the waterfront, suggesting an urban environment adjacent to the sea. The water is dotted with various boats and ships of different sizes, indicating active maritime activity. Several masts are visible among the vessels, hinting at sailing boats in the area. The overall atmosphere of the photo suggests a historical or early 20th-century setting due to its architectural style and black-and-white photographic quality. The absence of modern elements like contemporary street lamps, signage, or vehicles contributes to this impression.
