"Beloved Riddi"

I'm strangely drawn to this gravestone. We learn nothing about this woman but her nickname and the dates, and, most importantly, that she was loved.

She grew up in Nazi Germany, then puberty in the GDR. She was only 40 when she died. Her proper first name was probably Friederike. Maybe she was from one of the upper class families who built the magnificent stucco houses here. But this isn't a family plot. A lover must have buried her, or friends. I imagine her as a hippie woman with long colorful skirts, dancing....
