202. Spock

🧠 A section of graffiti wall down at the Clyde.

⭐ I was able to push the colours really far because there was nothing 'real' in the picture to look unnatural.

➡️ I aligned it with the square around Spock but you see the sloping brick lines at the top.

I don't normally like graffiti very much, but I saw this recently - on a bridge support, by a river - and it rather tickled me. If a mermaid came on land, of course she'd need a diving helmet full of water... 😊

Back to seriousness, no more suggestive double exposures !

I know it’s not #fensterfreitag today, but who cares, the tag will work just the same !

(Sorry for the lack of seriousness just now.) I forgot on Friday !!

Sometimes I find shop windows to be little works of art (especially when I photograph them).

And what is the difference between this piece of art :

I live in a rather artistic town #Ghent, and in the past there were lots of window display artists who created shop windows just for fun (nothing for sale).

But this photo is of a real shop window; for a moment I thought it was worth a pic on film.

This summer we were back in Italy and also spent about a week in Bologna.

It’s almost become an annual tradition.

And when I travel, I always take far too many cameras with me.

Especially now, at a time when I sometimes question the point of my analogue photography...

What for, and for whom ?

But on arriving in Bologna, I did end up rediscovering one of my oldest camera companions,

my Canon A1, loaded with a roll of Kodak 400 Ultramax

Mainly to see if I could find a bit of joy in taking photos just for the fun of it.

Something I did notice whilst wearing my A1 round my neck on walks around town... The camera is really heavy to have round your neck all the time!

And I haven’t mentioned it yet, but Bologna was absolutely sweltering in early August!

I never understood whether that's just their name or supposed to be the German imperative for 'think'. I guess they don't paint anymore, and a web search only gives me dead blogs and abandoned fb pages.
