Sometimes, things and history were not so aestethic as today...

The chimneys of the former metal foundry called "Santa Maria Regla" in the XIX century, where many workers suffered exploitation to extract gold and silver for the english and spanish kingdoms of that age.

Ode à la vague.

Encore une fois

mon vers se tourne

vers la vague.

Je ne puis m’empêcher

de te chanter,

mille fois mille,

mille fois, ô vague,

fiancée fugitive de l’océan :

vénus verte,

élancée

tu hisses ta cloche,

et de là-haut,

tu laisses tomber

des lys.

Ô lame

Incessante

secouée

par

la

solitude

du vent,

érigée comme une

statue

transparente

mille fois mille

cristallisée, cristalline,

et puis

tout le sel à terre :

le mouvement

se fait écume

puis de l’écume la mer

se reconstruit

et de nouveau ressurgit la turgescence.

Et de nouveau,

cheval,

pure jument

cyclonique

et ailée

la crinière ardente de blancheur

dans l’ire de l’air

en mouvement,

tu glisses, tu bondis, tu cours,

conduisant le traineau

de la neige marine.

Vague, vague, vague,

mille fois mille

vaincue, mille

fois mille dressée

et déversée :

vive

la vague

mille fois immortelle

la vague.

Pablo Neruda, Tercer libro de las odas, 1957.
