Golden‑hour coastal stroll
A calm, late‑afternoon scene where people wander along a wide sandy beach beneath a line of rugged coastal mountains. Gentle waves roll in from the turquoise sea while families and friends spread out under a single umbrella or walk the shoreline. A quiet road runs parallel to the sand, a lone vehicle parked by the dunes, and the whole landscape is warmed by soft golden light that brings out the textures in sand and rock. A simple, laid‑back moment of scale and stillness on the coast.

[Bikepacking Denmark, Pt. 6] Day 3/4 (cont.). Starting at Bovberg Fyr, the weather actually cleared up for the first time. The wind shifted slightly from the northwest to the west, and the dunes blocked most of it anyway. And there was sunshine!
The trails were so much nicer that way, especially the part right between Ferring Sø and the North Sea.
In Thyborøn, I spent the night with six other bike packers in a shelter in the dunes, almost right by the North Sea. Completely awesome and I slept like a baby :-D

[Bikepacking Denmark, Pt. 5] Day 3 (cont.). After Lyngvig Fyr, it finally stayed dry, but the wind kept getting stronger. In some sections, I couldn’t go faster than 15 km/h, and some beach access paths between the dunes channeled the wind so strongly that I was almost blown off my bike a few times.
@thheine@pixelfed.de was also in the area a few months ago and took much better photos of Blavand Fyr (as well as Lyngvig Fyr and the Henne Mølle Å) than I did. Check them out!

[Bikepacking Denmark, Pt. 4] Day 3 began with a series of brief showers, which also delayed my departure. Eventually, though, I got going.
My first stop was Hvide Sande, where I made a quick detour to the North Sea and then enjoyed a nice breakfast.
Afterward, I continued on to Lyngvig Fyr (which we’d visited a few times before); the wind was already blowing quite strongly, mostly from the front at an angle. I didn’t climb up the lighthouse this time, though – I just took a few photos again.
