This May I've been in Stavanger, Norway for a Weekend to see two wonderful concerts: Kinga Głyk and the following day Monty Alexander. I took some time to walk around the city a take a few shots.
“Feuerwehr (ohne Opfer)” (Fire department - no casualties)
Passed by this boat on my way to see the tall ships docked at the Brooklyn waterfront. I thought this was a working fire boat, but it turns out to be a retired FDNY firefighting vessel from the 1960s that’s now used as a floating restaurant — named Fireboat, naturally.

This is the Papirøen housing complex in Copenhagen. It sits on its own little island in the middle of the city, and there are about ten buildings of various sizes that all share this same architecture. Visually intriguing! I like how the form of the building mimics the peaked roofs of the historic buildings in the area yet the floors and windows extend up to the top of each peak. Clever.
