„Quartett“

Close-up of a white building facade with four symmetrically arranged windows featuring light blue wooden shutters. Two windows are on the upper floor, and two are directly below on the ground floor. The lower windows and the upper right window are open, revealing white curtains with a dandelion pattern. The upper left window is closed, but its shutters are slightly ajar. A grey base with two small cellar windows is visible at the bottom of

„Urban organic“

Close-up shot of a modern residential or commercial building entrance at street level. The main gate features dark grey metal panels with an intricate, organic cutout pattern resembling cells, bubbles

This is the companion piece of this brass cast: https://mastoart.social/@enriquericos/117242506727379608

Now the collab is with termites. They had tunneled the handle of an abandoned shovel (and left long before I found it), so I sliced it to reveal the structure.

I still haven't figured out how to display it.

Five polished brass discs standing in line on a white surface, they appear diagonally in the shallow focus photo, their shadows are textured with the light reflected by the brass. Each disc is a barely circular slice of the original, perfectly cylindrical wood, revealing the termite tunnels that crossed them as irregular holes. Photo of the same arrangement from another perspective, showing details that couldn't be seen on the previous pic. Also diagonal, the first disc is in focus and lower to the left, the others follow a straight line up and to the right, moving out of focus.

It's been a while since we've played 20 questions for so here ya go! I did several crops for this and decided on the middle ground.

Heads up (mainly so that @NotAHopeInHades@pixelfed.social doesn't go bananas with me): I'm going to be watching Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home in the theatre shortly, so I will answer all questions later on!

Have at it!

Parigi, August 2023

@foto@diggita.com

Dramatic low-angle view of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, photographed at night in August 2023. The illuminated iron lattice rises vertically from the massive arches overhead, glowing in warm golden light against a deep blue evening sky. The extreme upward perspective emphasizes the intricate metalwork, symmetry and immense height of the tower as it narrows toward its brightly lit summit.

Tür und Tor » Doors and Gates

Louvre, Paris 📍

The Louvre Pyramid as seen through a huge stone archway. In the foreground, a black iron gate with ornate gold-painted spikes stands before the glass and steel pyramid. In the background, behind the pyramid, the Renaissance-style roofline of the Louvre Palace can be seen under a white, overcast sky. The image is mostly monochrome but for the golden spikes on the gate.
